The White Sox scored 7 runs in the top of the first inning and added 5 more runs in the second to build a 12-1 lead and went on to win the Bricktown Tournament by a 17-4 score. A 2 run triple by Travis Soprano got the White Sox started and by the time Jeff Wyco hit another 2 run triple in the second, the Sox had scored 12 runs and the game was all but over. Tim Sayles and Brian Morris would also add 2 run triples to extend the White Sox lead and force the game to end under the mercy rule. The White Sox held the Braves to only 6 hits while collecting 17 of their own.
